Natasha I galloped around threw the meadow. I was trying to find a good spot to graze. My mane flapped on my neck every time i hit the ground. It was a lovely day, at least i thought so. I started to slow down to a trot, i was beginning to get tired. After a few minutes i slowed to a walk. I bent my head down and moved my muzzle along the grass. A few times it tickled my nose. I gave out a whinny and began to eat.

I heard another beat of hooves in the distance. I flung up my head and gave a look around. I saw another horse a distance ahead. I immediately stomped my hooves. I began to think how lonely i was, it was peaceful at times. I gave out another whinny and turned to run. I picked up my hooves and began to canter. The other horse could follow me if they wanted, but I'd still run. My instincts from where i was captured had been changed.

The beautiful chestnut figur of Angel glided through the forest. She could sence two other horses. Mares. She tossed her pretty flame licked head and galloped. She came to a sudden halt next to the horse she knew as Rain. She reared up silently and landed with almost no sound. Angel stood quietly watching the other mare flee. Seemed as though everyone was running. Angel to had run at first, but that was from a stallion. Mares seemed different. This one standing next to her did anyway. Angel lowed her head and watched a rabbit run across the path. She wasn't going to chase any horse. That awful memory of the other night when the stallion chased her was still so clear in her mind. She wasn't going to do that to any other horse.

I saw what looked like a large hole a few strids away. I tried to stop and slid on the way. I turned my head and saw yet another horse. I felt like i had just been mean to the others. I thought i should apoligize. I turned my whole body towards the two and began to walk towards them. I was feeling a bt tired. I hadn't slept in days. I was tring to find a heard that i could join.

The old man gently squeezed the stallions side and he leant back as he slid uneasily down the embankment. Stroking his neck. He spoke quietly to him. Letting his hands rest of the horn of his battered western saddle he directed the well educated stallion with his legs urging him through a small brook. The stallion stuttered but went through after encouragment from his rider. Good boy. Patting his neck he smiled and urged him into a canter. Sitting deep against the rocking motion. Suddenly the stallion stopped dead. The man jerked slightly in the saddle. Ears pricked the horse snorted uneasily and whinnied to the other horses he knew where behind the bushes. Feeling inquisitive the man urged the horse towards the other horses. Silently he felt for his rope to make sure it was there. Holding it gently in on hand. He slowly made his way behind the horses and sat watching them. Entranced by their beauty.

I stoped once again and looked around. I wasn't sure if i had heard something or not. Was it my imagination or not? I smelt the air to see if there were a pretitor around. It smelt like a stallion, but where? Questions ran through my head. I was not sure of anything right now. I looked to the other mares then to another direction.

The cowboy watched the horse as it pricked its ears forward intense staring eyes seemed to pierce right through him. He smiled he loved that about them they were so clever..... Easy girl its ok. Carefully he eased his horse out of the bushes leting him moved freely. Reaching for his lasso. He he hurled it through the air. Gradulaly moving the stallion closer to her. Then he threw it clean through the air. He watched hoping it would land clean over her head.

i watched as the two-legger swung the rope around. I wasn't for shure what was happening. I felt as the rope went over my head. I pinned my ears back and moved backwards. It was happening once again, i was being trapped. I pounded my hooves and reared a couple of times. I wouldtry to run if i had to just to get away. I let out a few shrill whinny's to try to get some help. It wasn't working.
I kept rearing, over and over again....

Slim grunted and wrapped the rope firmly around the horn of his saddle. Moving backwards with her he gave her rope, he didn't pull her at all. He would let take as much time as he needed. Hush sweetie its ok we aren't going anywhere I just want to take you for a walk around get you used to me. He gently pulled on the rope seeing if she would come forward.

I kept my ears pinned back and tried to get away. I started to calm down more after i thought about how i'd get treated again. I stopped and watched the two. How could my four-legged friend help in this (sP)castatropie? I remembered back when i was first caught i had felt hoffible pain on my rump. It was a brand. I gave out another few whinny's and watched hoping someone else would hear me.

I stopped everything and watched the orange spects fall to the ground. I began to be interested. I kept my eye on the two-legger cautiously. I picked up one hove and moved it forward, then another.

Although his excitment grew as the mare drew closer he kept his excitment under control. He stayed silent and dead still the rope still curled tightly around the saddle horn.

Slim laughed and praised the horse, his voice high pitched with excitment. Snapping off a few pieces he dropped some more on the ground.

I looked at what he put out to me. I sniffed it then backed away. Then went back to sniffing it. I felt safe but sad. Hey, it's reality i'm being captured- thats what I thought.

Smilling he scratched her head happily, dropping a few pieces of carrot he let the loop in the lassoo go and slid it over her head. Patting her once more, he turned and walked off slowly. I'll be back little mare and we can have another little chat until you feel ok around me. Tipping his hat to her he squeezed the stallion he was riding. Off he went into the sunset.....
